Welcome to Origins of Joy!

I’m so excited to welcome you to the very first Origins of Joy newsletter.

Origins of Joy began as a natural extension of my previous home staging business. While staging homes, I often found myself creating custom pillows to add unique style and personality to my inventory. What started as a creative solution soon became a passion for designing beautiful, meaningful home décor.

At the same time, candle making became a hobby that brought me peace and joy. I loved the process of creating beautiful fragrances that could transform a room into a place of comfort and relaxation. Eventually, these two passions came together to become Origins of Joy.

My vision was simple: to create home décor that celebrates African American culture while bringing joy, warmth, and peace into every living space. I wanted to offer pieces that tell a story, inspire conversation, and help people create homes that truly reflect who they are.

As I began showcasing my curated collections at markets and events throughout the Atlanta area, something wonderful happened. While my designs were inspired by my own culture, I discovered that my handcrafted pillows and carefully selected décor resonated with people from every background. That has been one of the greatest joys of this journey—seeing how beautiful design and meaningful expression connect us all.
